We are discerning together through 4 weekly questions that will speak to this question, through our core values, over the month. This week’s question is:
What is the mind of Christ regarding discipleship at The Bridge Church?
Transparent Discipleship is one of our core values. At The Bridge Church we do not want to be a comfortable place to hide and not grow. As such, we are committed to a radical experience of transformational transparency in all of our conversations and gatherings. While everyone is welcome to join us and worship with us, we are comfortable with challenging people to grow, and are prepared for the awkwardness that sometimes brings.
If you would like a starting point for some scripture passages to meditate on, here are some passages to start with:
John 13:34-35 Hebrews 3:12-14
Luke 9:23
John 14-16
Obviously, there are others and follow the Spirit’s leading in your scripture reading and meditation. Make sure you are writing down what you are hearing.
Remember church, we need you. We need your voice – your life experience – your encounters with the living Christ to help us discern the mind of Christ in our current reality.
