Meet Your VBS Green Team: Part 2

June 6, 2017

Let's continue with the second installment of our VBS series and introduce you to Caitlin Fast.

Written and submitted by Caitlin Fast:

My name is Caitlin Fast. I have been a Christian my whole life and grew up in a Mennonite church. In 2014 I did a program with Youth with a Mission. I first spent three months in Paris, France taking Bible classes and then spent another three months living in Cambodia teaching English and running children’s ministries. While I was in Cambodia I felt God calling me to go into health care, so I am now in my third year of nursing at the University of Manitoba. I currently attend Church of the Rock and volunteer with leading High School Ministry and a young adults home group. I also have a passion for music with a background in piano and voice.

I was very excited when I came across the job opportunity to work as a VBS program assistant with the Bridge Church; I feel that this position is exactly up my alley! I love working with children, especially within the Christian context. I am also excited by the opportunity to be creative and artistic, as well as building relationships with other Christians in Winnipeg.

I am looking forward to the week of VBS and being able to interact with and impact all the children that we will be spending the days with. I really believe that God has great plans for this summer of VBS and I am excited for the children that will come to know Jesus for the first time and all the children that will grow in their faith. I am eager to come alongside the staff at The Bridge Church in this amazing ministry they have already been doing for years! I believe that God is and will continue to transform the surrounding community through this VBS program.
